"Amazing Grace" was the theme for our first biennial convention held in Bakersfield, CA April 25 - 27, 2008, at the Doubletree Hotel. Over 400 joined with us to celebrate this free gift, Amazing Grace.
The "First Lady of the LCMS", Terry Kieschnick, was our "keynote" speaker and she was awesome. Rev. DienTaylor returned to us (from New York City) to not only lead our singing but to be our "Bible Study Leader". There are no words to describe his presentation. We were truly blessed to hear the Word from Pastor Taylor. Jan Struck, humorist and inspirational speaker, just home from Sioux Falls the site of our national LWML Convention, kept us in stitches. How would you like to bring Jan back again to our district next year? Keep this in your prayers. We also had greetings by our national LWML leader, President Jan Wendorf. Jan was at every event supporting all the leaders of the CNH District. She seemed tireless. God has given us a great servant in this new president! We even had a video of the President of our Synod, Rev. Gerald Kieshnick. How great was that!
We continue to "Praise, Worship, and Celebrate" with our sisters and brothers in the CNH District.in the after glow of this wonderful convention. Go and Tell everyone you Meet of the Love of Jesus! He has commanded it!
